Dear Families,

I hope everyone had a restful President’s Day weekend.    I want to thank everyone for all the Valentine gifts and treats.  Our class party was a huge success.  This Thursday we will be having Harvest of the Month with Mrs. Hoffman.   Friday is a full day.

Below is an overview for our week:

Voc: We will finish working on Unit 10 and have our test on Thursday

Spelling: Unit 17

Math: Our focus is on subtracting fractions with like and unlike denominators.

Social Studies: We begin chapter 5.  The lesson this week is on the Spanish Borderlands.  We continue to work on our School Fair reports.

Science: Chapter 5, The Water Cycle is our focus.  We will be analyzing water in the environment.

Religion: We will be going to mass for Ash Wednesday.  We continue to work on our Saint Blaise report.

English: We continue to work on Unit 13.  This week we are identifying the difference of an adverb, adjective and preposition.

Literature: We are finishing our final copy of the writing contest.  We continue to read Indian in the Cupboard.
