Dear Kindergarten Families,
Our School Fair is almost here! Your kindergarten students are very proud of their research papers, landform and bodies of water models. Set aside a little time on Wednesday evening starting at 6:30 ending at 7:45 to see all the amazing projects from our SHS students.

ELA- strategies for reading as we listen to stories are to categorize and classify our thoughts. As we continue our working with reading skills, your children are listening for beginning as well as ending sounds. As you read with your child emphasis the ending sounds, this skill is difficult for many children. Focus letter/sound this week is /g/.
Everyday Math continues with section 5 – an activity review with standard and non-standard tools for measurement 5. 12. Graphing our pets 5.13 and work in our EM class text book. Ten frames are being used to add teen numbers.
As we finish learning interesting facts about the presidents our social studies focus will lean towards a month long unit in March, our National Symbols.
Friday is a full day with a family activity in the afternoon.
Enjoy your week!
