Dear Fifth Grade Family,

It’s already February!   We have a very busy week in our class.   The WCEA/WASC accreditation visit is this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  There is no school on Friday.  We will be going to our whole school Mass on Thursday.  Please join us if your schedule allows.  Please have your child wear their P.E. uniform on Thursday.   Below is an overview of our week.

Religion:  Chapter 5, We will be discussing how the Eucharist is the center of Christian life.

Math:  We are reviewing key fraction concepts.  We will be interpreting a fraction as division.  For IXL please complete H.5, Divide by 1 digit numbers.

Social Studies:  We are analyzing the characteristics of New England towns.

Science:  We will be preparing for our Chapter 9 test which will be this Thursday.

Grammar:  Our focus this week is perfect tenses and inappropriate shifts in verb tenses.

Voc. Unit 7.  Our unit 7 test will be next Tuesday.

ELA:  We continue with our Unit 3, “Clues to a Culture”.
