Dear Kindergarten Parents,
We all enjoyed the activities during Catholic Schools Week. This first week of February will prove to be very busy. Jesus our Good Shepherd will continue to lead as we work through this month. SLE focus is B. 3 Read to learn and for fun. Each day this week we read to learn the Ten Commandments from a children’s perspective. We are reading for fun as we read entertaining stories that spark considerable conversation.
This week starts a new theme in language arts; concentrating on reading to expand our vocabulary. We continue to read with sight words and use our segmenting and blending skills. Math has us working hard on calendar concepts. Science is focused on different types of earth in the plains and deserts. Thursday, a lab to investigate soil types from these land areas. Social studies includes: Chinese New Year and a look at our Presidents.
Thursday a group of actors from The Grail Theater will entertain us with Moses and Other Stories.
Wednesday is Ali’s birthday! 
Primary Centers this Friday with a noon dismissal.
