Dear Parents, June 8, 2014
The last week of school! I can hardly believe the year is just about over. I had a wonderful time with your children. They are very special and I enjoyed every day of school. I would also like to thank you for your continued support throughout the year. It was a pleasure to meet all of you!
We will spend our week wrapping up loose ends and enjoying our last week together.
- Language Arts: We will be wrapping up a book report we started, finish our zoo reports, and playing games if time allows!
- Math: We will be playing review games.
- Science: We will be exploring a non-Newtonian substance (OOBLECK) and discussing why it is so amazing!
- Social studies: We will take our test. We were unable to take it last week. In addition, all of the items shared with our class will be sent home.
- Religion: We will wrap up our year in reflection on all that we have learned.
Summer work information will be posted online shortly. There will be a typing requirement (for the whole school), a math requirement, and a language art requirement. Please check the school website frequently for these postings!
Announcements:
- Monday is Field Day. We will be out on the field playing a variety of games in the afternoon. Please send your student in free dress but dressed PRIMARILY with their family colors (check the school newsletter for details).
- No PE on Tuesday! Please come in regular uniform.
- Wednesday is the last full day of school. Students must be in uniform. We will be attending mass at 8:30, as it is the school graduation. Please join us if your schedule permits!
- Thursday is Spirit Day, a noon dismissal day, and a free dress (no charge). We also will spend some time with our sixth grade buddies.
- Friday is a 10:00AM dismissal! We will spend the morning in church, come back to gather the last of our things and ready to start our summer vacation. WooHoo!
- Please make sure your child has his/her backpack everyday (even the last day) as things will be sent home throughout the week
Thank you for a wonderful year, have a great week, and a fantastic relaxing summer vacation!
Ms. Manning
