Hello Families!
Well, September has flown by quickly! Luckily for us, we have had a lot of fun activities to learn! Concepts of time, sounding out difficult words, and writing interesting sentences! Thank you for turning in homework on Tuesdays! It allows me to get the “Homework Folders” ready to send back to families on Wednesday.
This week we are continuing to learn about apples. This week we will learn how apples grow. Next week we are going to make applesauce. We will also be doing some science experiments with apples. If anyone would like to donate a bag of apples, please email me and I will let you know what I need and how many.
We loved having our “Grandparents and Special Guests” come to class last Friday. They were able to have a peek at our mornings! We showed them how we do our “Morning Meetings”, worked on our “Fall in Love with Jesus” craft, and read a couple of books together. Please thank your family members for us! It was a treat!
Besides our Apple unit activities this week and next…we will continue to learn how to tell time to an hour and a half an hour. In religion, we will begin learning about parts of our Church, the building, and the religious items we see used during Mass. This is so helpful in making connections to understanding Mass and the roles priests, students, and others play during our Friday Mass.

Have a great week!
Mrs, Driscoll
