Here’s what we are doing in first grade…
Language Arts: In writing we are taking a quick little break from our informative chapter books as we write for our Palmisano Writing Contest. We are working on base words and the endings “s”, “ed”, and “ing”. Our spelling words come from our spelling book and are found in Unit 33.
Math: We are beginning Unit 7. We will begin our discussion of geometry!
Science: We are still on our break from science this week as we focus on traveling for our school fair project!
Social Studies: We will be flying to our final destination this week! Please ask your students where we are traveling!
Religion: We will be reading from our textbooks this week: Chapter 18: We Come to Our Good Shepherd.
Homework for the Week:
- Monday: Rainbow Write and IXL Math Skill E.2
- Tuesday: Spelling p. 227 & 230 and IXL Math Skill V.1
- Wednesday: 6 Sentences and Math Worksheet
- Thursday: 6 Sentences and Math Worksheet
- Friday: Read 2 Times
Reminders for the Week:
- PE Uniforms on Tuesday and Thursday.
- Library on Wednesday. Please remind your student to bring their library book so they may check out a new one.
- Stations of the Cross will be on Wednesday at 2pm.
- Friday is a noon dismissal.
