Hello Families!
It’s a hot week! Let’s stay hydrated to help us focus on our daily routines. Don’t forget to send their water bottle. We have been enjoying some of our academic times outside under the shade.
We are making a few adjustments in the next few weeks to our schedule. We will be adding our new staff member, Ms. Sofer, our ART teacher, and changing our library time. Please be sure to send in their library books on Monday to return since we will have our library time on Tuesday mornings.

Sneak Peek to our Academic Week
Word Work: New sorts this week. Spelling Test on Monday
Reading: We continue non-fiction. Kids are making comprehension webs and diagrams after reading a nonfiction book.
Read Aloud: Before beginning the Chocolate Touch, we will read Nate the Great.
Writing/Grammar: We continue our information writing. We are learning to use transitional words such as first, then, next, and finally. We made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on Tuesday. Students needed to give me step by step directions. They had fun because they forgot to tell me to use the knife to spread the peanut butter. 🙂 We will soon begin writing about a topic we know a lot about such as cats, dogs, and other animals/things.
Math: We took our math test today. We begin unit 4!
Religion: How do we show God we love Him? We obey. We attend Mass. We pray.
Art: We flick paint onto our hearts! They came out amazing!
Science: How can the sun help you when you’re lost? We complete our follow up activity this week.
