Dear Parents, May 22, 2017
We are going to the zoo on Wednesday of this week! Please remind your child to wear jeans/shorts, their SHS polo shirt, and PE shoes! In addition, please remember to pack your child’s lunch in a brown paper bag with their name on the front! We will not be brining lunchboxes on our trip.
Language Arts: We are continuing our writing on our zoo reports! They are showing all that we have learned so far in first grade!
Math: We are continuing to work through Unit 10. Unit 10 is all about review so you should notice familiarity with the concepts!
Science: We are working hard on matter. We will be learning about liquids and gases! We will also be reviewing our animal chapters as we prepare for the zoo.
Social Studies: We will be taking our unit 5 test this week.
Religion: We are taking our quiz from last week and we will be reading from our Family Life Series this week.
Homework for the Week:
- Monday: Read 2 Times
- Tuesday: Math Worksheet
- Wednesday: Read, Read, Read!
Reminders for the Week:
- PE Uniforms on Tuesday.
- We will not be going to the library this week.
- No school on Thursday as the teachers attend a staff retreat.
- No school on Friday as a school holiday.
- No school on Monday in observance of Memorial Day!
