The first trimester service hours report was included in the Family Envelope previously and now the scrip report is included in the December 3 Family Envelope. We thank the many families who meet and exceed the necessary balance position for these tuition amounts for this point in the school year! If your scrip “profit” amount for the first trimester is below $120, please actively use scrip during this heavy purchasing period of the year and continue its use into 2013. If purchasing scrip seems confusing or difficult, please contact scrip@sacredheartschoolventura.org or stop by the scrip office for assistance. In most cases, there is a way for your family’s purchasing style to include scrip and avoid the necessity of a cash payment for scrip tuition. We encourage scrip and service hour “double dipping” by using scrip donations for activities such as next week’s Honors Reception and the Running Raffle that begins in January. Early in 2013, statements requiring cash payments will be sent to families who are not on pace with the completion of this portion of tuition. Some families are near or at completion of $350 in scrip “profit” and continue purchasing scrip to be a part of the rebate program that completes in June. Some families include all or a portion of their $180 (18 hours) service hours and/or $350 scrip “profit” obligation to their monthly FACTS tuition payment. If you would like to add scrip or service hours to your FACTS tuition amount now, please contact the school office.

Education at Sacred Heart School is centered in Christ and is concerned with the development of the whole child. We are committed to helping students grow in trust and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as well as to helping them grow in the spirit of prayer, service and leadership in the Christian community. Sacred Heart School cooperates with and assists the parents or legal guardians, who are the primary educators of their children. Along with teaching Catholic dogma, doctrine, and morals, Sacred Heart School maintains a strong, innovative curriculum. It is our goal to promote a school atmosphere that is enlivened by Gospel values, intellectual proficiency, and self-esteem.
