Mr. Doswell’s ELA Group Assignment November 19, 2013
We will begin Unit 3, “Animals Are Characters, Too”, beginning upon our return to school after Christmas break. In preparation for the unit:
All students in Mr. Doswell’s reading group will choose and read a book that has animal characters or is about an animal. Some suggestions follow:

The Race Across America No. 37 (Geronimo Stilton)
Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIHM (Robert C. O’Brien)
Marley: A Dog Like No Other- A Special Adaptation for Young Readers (John Grogan)
Lewis and Clark and Me: A Dog’s Tale (Laurie Myers and Michael Dooling)
Please make sure the book has been completed and is at school on or before January 9th, 2014.
