Dear Fourth Grade Families,
Here is our week in 4thgrade…
Math: We are beginning Unit 3! This week we begin to focus on multiplication facts!
ELA:
-Writing: We are continuing our realistic fiction writing. This week we are discussing how to end our stories and how to best revise them.
-Reading: Remember to keep up with our Reading Response Journals! If you have any questions please contact me. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes!
-Vocabulary: We are on our second week of Unit 4. Remember that these words are available on SpellingCity.com for practice. We will be taking our test at the end of the week!
-Spelling: We are working from Unit 8. Again, we have 25 words written in our daily planners but we will only be tested on 20. We will be taking our test later this week. Remember that these words are also available on SpellingCity.com
Social Studies:We are diving into the Gold Rush! We are taking the week to discuss how California became a US Territory.
Science:We will be reviewing how organisms compete for resources. We are hoping to head into the lab this week!
Religion:We begin our seventh chapter in our religion books: We Worship God. Remember to check our website on Wednesday afternoons for “Worship Wednesday” to see a bit of what we are doing in our classroom!

Thursday: Math Worksheet – Study for Spelling and Vocabulary Test
School Notices:
-Throughout the week, students are encouraged to bring in small stuffed animals or Beanie Babies to donate to Dr. White’s trip to South Africa.
-Progress Reports go home on Tuesday!
-Wednesday is library day!
-Friday is a full day of school
