It was good to meet with so many of you last week for Back to School night.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, especially if you were not able to attend our meeting.

This week in grade 4:

We will have a chapter one science vocabulary test on Friday morning.  All students should be studying vocabulary as part of their nightly homework.  Please make sure your child has his or her vocabulary for Gooseberry Park (cards,) Science (packet,) and Social Studies (notebook paper.) All these should be in their homework folders every day. Accelerated math is also nightly homework.  All students should also be practicing multiplication facts nightly.

All students should be reading a book for the book report.  This book needs to be completed and in class on or before 21st.  The report will be written in class.

If you have not yet turned in your funds ($23.25,) could you please do so this week.  I would like to send a check to Scholastic News, Oxnard Performing Arts Center, and IXL math as soon as possible.  Thank you.  Checks should be made out to Sacred Heart School.

Upcoming:  Our chapter 1 math test will be Wednesday, Sept. 14
