This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.  The fourth grade students have discussed ways we could reach out to the community and do something good for others.  After some discussion, we decided to collect and donate new socks to the RAIN project in Camarillo.  All sizes and colors will be collected.  I will deliver them before we break for Easter.

We will attend Mass on Ash Wednesday and also on Thursday since there is no school on Friday (teacher workshop).  Thursday afternoon we will have a Valentine party.  The students are invited to bring cards, but they must have 27 cards, one for each student.  It is easiest to just sign the card and not put student names on them.

A reminder that all students must have their book report books completed and at school on or before this Wednesday.
