Our school project fair is quickly approaching. All student projects will be on display in the hall on the evening of March 7th. Several fourth grade students have already completed their projects and have brought them to class. Please make sure your student is completing his or her California project and it is at school on or before next Tuesday.
Our school will be celebrating Read Across America month beginning March 1st. Each student who finishes reading a book gets a ticket to put in a raffle jar in the office. Students can put in as many tickets as books they read. There will be a drawing the last day in March for prizes. At 12:30 this Friday, March 2nd, the entire school will read for 15 minutes.
Many students have chosen a person who has contributed to California history as their wax museum project. Please assist your child in choosing someone to portray.
As of today we have:
Trinity as Nancy Reagan, Valerie as Julia Child, Frank as Jackie Robinson, Sammy as Nancy Lopez, Junior as Walt Disney, Devin as Jedidiah Strong Smith, Connor as Fr. Junipero Serra, Christian as Ronald Reagan, Sam as Steve Jobs, Martin as James Marshall, Alyssa as Shirley Temple Black, Samantha as Alice Wells, Hetor as Andres Pico, Patrick as Steven Wazniak, Natalia as Kristi Yamaguchi
