Thank you for the wonderful flowers and treats that made me feel very appreciated last week! We all enjoyed celebrating Catholic Schools Week and are thankful to be part of such a wonderful school.
This week in fourth grade:
I have given students their new vocabulary words for science and social studies. These words are in their homework folders and should be studied each night for homework. On Thursday, Feb. 7th, I will be giving an English test. All students have their English books in their backpacks. This is a cumulative test based on the information learned so far this year. There is a good review on pages 218-221.
Please make sure your child is finishing his or her book report book. It needs to be at school before next Wednesday, February 13th.
We wrapped up our third unit by watching the movie version of The Black Stallion. We all enjoyed it!
This week we will begin our fourth unit for English Language Arts. This unit is titled “Revolutionaries from the Past”. We will be exploring the book A History of US: From Colonies to Country by Joy Hakim.
Have a good week,
Mrs. Sharon Redmond
