Throughout the year SHS students learn how they can be of help to others and raise funds for those in need by participating in schoolwide events. During the first trimester our focus is on The Archdiocese of Los Angeles Adopt-a-Family Program and drought victims in Somalia. The Middle School students, led by the Core Leaders, create awareness about those in need nationally & internationally as they plan a variety of ways our students can assist. Please remember bottled water is available during the morning recess for $1 on Tuesdays & Thursdays weekly. Free dress days are scheduled, sometimes with themes, and each student pays at least $1 to add to our mission collection. The first of these free dress days is set for Wednesday, September 7. Please go to https://www.sacredheartschoolventura.org/our-school/uniform/ if you have any questions about school-appropriate wear for a non-uniform school day.
Mrs. Benner
Education at Sacred Heart School is centered in Christ and is concerned with the development of the whole child. We are committed to helping students grow in trust and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as well as to helping them grow in the spirit of prayer, service and leadership in the Christian community. Sacred Heart School cooperates with and assists the parents or legal guardians, who are the primary educators of their children. Along with teaching Catholic dogma, doctrine, and morals, Sacred Heart School maintains a strong, innovative curriculum. It is our goal to promote a school atmosphere that is enlivened by Gospel values, intellectual proficiency, and self-esteem.
