Hello Sacred Heart School Families,
I have a few words on the progress of the Jogathon. On February 23rd a meeting was held for the room parents of the 1st, 4th, and 7th grades. The meeting provided an overview and outline of the Jogathon event. The Jogathon has been broken down into three categories:
• Event / Chair Coordinator –7th Grade
• Volunteer Coordinator — 1st Grade
• Set-Up Coordinator — 4th Grade
(All volunteers are responsible for clean-up)
The room parents were given a packet of information and in each packet is a cover letter, an outline of the event, a description of each position, and examples of related materials and/ or supplies.
I encourage you to speak with the room parents from 1st, 4th, and 7th grade and ask for their input and thoughts on the information provided to them.
We hope you will participate in the Jogathon activities; it is an excellent way to meet your service hour obligation and a fun way to support Sacred Heart School.
We have another fundraising event scheduled for May 13th, the Spring Fling, as we celebrate 30 years of education at Sacred Heart School. I am currently working with Mrs. Benner on the outline to make the process of such a large undertaking a little easier on everyone involved. I look forward to working with you and your extended family members on this fundraising event. I hope you are able to share your time, talent, and effort on this worthwhile event as it benefits our school in many ways.
*Last year many families purchased scrip from specific vendors to contribute to fundraising and other PTC activities. The policy for scrip purchases with a service hour connection has changed to: all monetary contributions to PTC activities earn one service hour per $10.00 and 3% of the contributed amount counts toward your scrip obligation.
As always, it is through your participation and commitment that we as parents strive to make Sacred Heart School a success for today, tomorrow, and for years to come.
