Dear Fourth Grade Families,
As we enter the last week of school for the 2012/2013 school year, I want to say that I have very much enjoyed your children. They have worked hard, played hard, and are certainly ready for summer break. I look forward to saying hello to them as fifth graders next year. Moving “across the hall” is a giant step and I know they are ready for it. 🙂
I would also like to thank our room moms for their wonderful support and help throughout the year. The children enjoyed the parties and the wax museum was fabulous! A big thank you to Mrs. Merkord, Mrs. Glauser, Mrs. Delgado, and Mrs. Hoffman! Your help has made fourth grade more memorable to all the students.
Summer homework will soon be posted on the website. Please read it carefully and make sure your children do the work requested. This will greatly assist their transition into grade five.
Monday is Sports Day and students should wear their PE clothes to school. Go Cardinals! It is a normal dismissal day.
Tuesday is also a full day of school. I have designated Tuesday as game, puzzle, and art day. This will be my last day with the students and I want to make it special. Students are allowed to bring things from home to share with the class. My husband, daughter, and I will be leaving Wednesday for a 17 day trip to China. Kelsey recently graduated from the U of A and this trip is our graduation gift to her.
Wednesday is also a full day of school. It begins with eighth grade graduation mass and awards ceremony.
Thursday is Spirit Day! Students will dress in their “family” colors this day and will join third and fifth grades in field activities. This is a noon dismissal day.
Mrs. Lucy Romero will be in the classroom for me Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. She will hand out report cards after mass on Friday. School dismisses at 10:00 AM.
Peace and blessings to you all as you enjoy summer with your children.
Mrs. Sharon Redmond
