Homework Kindergarten By Mrs. Brown January 31, 2019 No Comments Snuggle up with a good book!Dear Kindergarten Families, Your children are doing a great job on their homework. We are enjoying the book responses and the animal comparison reports provided many facts! This week in your child’s homework folder look for the word sort paper and the envelope to keep sorts in. Have your child cut and sort these pictures and corresponding letters or words. Keep these sorts at home – we have a set in class. Next week sorts will be tested on beginning sounds or words. Your child will advance to a new sort when beginning sounds or word families are spelled correctly. If you have any questions on sorting please send an email. Continue read nightly and re-read for fluency. Look for sight words and retell story or recall facts when reading non-fiction books. Spelling City is a great resource for learning the sight words in ‘A’ list 1-5. I have listed words in ‘B’ list as well. Have your child work in ‘B’ if mastered all 25 words in ‘A’. ~Two papers to work on this week~ An easy finish to ‘Color the Family‘ from music class. Your child may ask if you know the instruments and which family they belong to. They know their instruments! Do both sides of the ‘Number Word’ paper. Matching numbers to the correct word and writing the number word in the correct box. ~IXL Practice~ S.6 Measure using objects F. 8 Learn to skip count by 2s, 5s and 10s~Extra fun – but educational sites~Storyline OnlineShell GameEnjoy your weekend!Mrs. Brown Share:
