Dear Kindergarten Families,
Reading each night is what we do! Your kindergarten kiddos enjoy showing pictures and telling us that good story or interesting information learned as part of homework. It is amazing to see how they have grown since Grandparent’s Day when they proudly shared their book responses to family for the first time.
This week your children might want use their library book and respond with the Story Notes paper found in homework folder. Notice the ticket bookmark in their library book. Please return the ticket with their library book next week. The ticket will be used over again.
Teen numbers are tricky so we will do another worksheet for homework. Count the jars noting teens numbers are ten plus one or some ones. The ten is on the left; ones are on the right. Have your child color the number that matches. I am impressed with the coloring effort on these math papers. Note: it is better to use crayon or colored pencil than markers.
IXL practice:
D.5 Show numbers on ten frames up to 20
F.1 Choose words with a given ending
F.2 Choose the picture that rhymes with the word
Please work on above skills – for lots of good practice. We need to be fluid in these skills as we move through the school year.
