Dear Kindergarten Families,
Over the weekend and next week read a bit each night. With your child’s library book or a favorite book from home do the book response. Have your child draw and/or write about the character(s) and the setting. You will find the Book Nook response form in your child’s homework folder.
In class we are playing number grid games on the board with a magnet. At home use the number grid chart and a penny. Ask your how child to play, they know how! Use the rows and columns for clues to find that missing number.
As we celebrate the Advent Saints and celebrate the Feast day of Saint Nicholas….explore this educational site with your child. It is extensive! The Saint Nicholas Center has games, puzzles, matching, videos, books and online coloring. Help your child visit the Kids section. link is below
No IXL this week – return library book by Wednesday and Book Nook form by Thursday in orange folder. Keep the number grid at home, it is good resource to use for every day counting and overall number sense.
