Dear Kindergarten Parents,
It is time to start homework! Please note homework is posted each Friday to be returned on Thursday. Hopefully your schedule will allow a little time each day or evening to enjoy reinforcing what we do in class.
This week worksheets include the reading log, name print practice, an “All About Me” paper (we’ll share this in class) and a math cut and paste worksheet.
Recommended reading time with your child is 15-20 minutes each night. On Friday your child’s red homework folder will be sent home. All papers are linked below to download and print.
Please return all papers in the red folder on Thursdays.
Required homework papers:
Everyday Math (EM)- the online component allowing families to follow along with our academic work. You’ll find the parent letter, games, and vocabulary introduced in class. Use the link below and the login card inside the red folder to access this site.
This week we started section 1, activities 1 and 2. Note the section ‘Online Games’ in 1.1 and 1.2. Use the drop down option for Train Games to find “Disappearing Train” and same for Memory Match-drop down to “Match Up” game. Have your child spend a little time with these games to reinforce math skills. [At times, Firefox has issues accessing games, try Chrome for best use of this site].
From summer, you are familiar with IXL . Use the same login information. IXL pairs nicely with much of our work in EM. Please work on Q.1 and Q.2.
