Dear Kindergarten Families,
Each week I am happy to see the quality of work your children do for homework. Bravo! Thursday we read the book responses from last week. Your children feel a connection with their classmates when we go over the homework together.
Read nightly and record books you read together or listen to on the reading log. Practice sight words and do the two worksheets. I want to express my thanks for feedback you provide on the reading/web log sheet and the time families spend doing homework together.

Ready to Read (sentence work)
We spent a lot of time this week working on simple word stories and the tens frames for a quick visual count. I found a great website to continue this practice. Spend a little time on EM games and ixl patterns for review. Spend more time on the Tens Frames website. Help your child with calendar words, ‘Roy the Zebra’ is a fun way to learn calendar and color words.
