In-N-Out is such a popular fundraiser that a lottery system is needed to procure a date to have the Burger Lunch Truck come to an event. Each year we enter that lottery; sometimes we win, and sometimes we lose. We thought we did not win this school year until last Friday afternoon when we received a call from In-N-Out offering the date of Monday, April 25th. We said, “YES, WE WILL TAKE IT!”
The In-N-Out Lunch Truck will arrive mid-morning on Monday, April 25th with plans to serve hamburgers, cheeseburgers, or grilled cheese, chips, and drinks for one hour beginning at approximately 11:30.
And as last year, we add a dessert selection too…dippin’ dots ice cream will be onsite on Monday, April 25th at lunchtime too.
Both must be ordered as a PRESALE only and must be turned in by Thursday, April 21st. Neither will be available for purchase on Monday, April 25th.
A form for purchasing both will be in the April Family Envelope (sent home on Tuesday, April 5). Please complete the order form(s) for your student(s), yourself, and other family members & friends; we welcome all to join us at the lunch tables and on the grass. Many enjoy bringing blankets and lawn chairs to be comfortable while enjoying our lunch and dessert.
When the truck arrives, the crew begins preparations immediately. We start serving the lower grades as the crew announces they are ready around 11:30a, and continue serving up through 8th grade as family members join their students in the line. There can be a bit of a wait to get your burger(s), grilled cheese(s), chips, & drink(s), but the crew works rapidly to move the line as efficiently as possible. The lunch period is extended to allow all to enjoy lunch, dessert, and a little family and playtime.
