Dear Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed the three day weekend. On Tuesday Progress Reports will be going home. This Friday is the start of Catholic Schools’ Week. Friday is Parents Day and a noon dismissal. I hope everyone can join us for Parents Day. Below is an overview of our week.
Math: We will be reviewing partial quotients algorithms using an “at least…not bot more than” strategy. We will also review division number stories with remainders. We will take our Unit 4 test next Tuesday, January 28th. For IXL.com homework students are to complete H.4. Divide multi digit numbers by 1 digit numbers: word problems.
Religion: Chapter 4. Confirmation is the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit.
Vocabulary: Unit 7
Grammar: Unit 3. Our focus will be on main verbs and helping verbs.
Social Studies: Our focus will be on how people in the Carolina made money. We will then begin reviewing for our chapter 5 test which will be on next Wednesday.
Science: We will learn the properties of acids, bases, and salts.
ELA: We are continuing to read A History of US. We are also going to be reading Liberty’s Voice.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Thank you,
Ms. Carney
