Dear Families,

Thank you all for coming to Parents Day!  We had a great time making Aztec fans.  This week we are celebrating Catholic Schools Week.  Wednesday is Student Appreciation Day!  Wednesday will be free dress and no homework!  Wednesday is also Principal’s Treat for lunch.  Below is an overview of our week.

Religion:  We will be taking the ACRE test on Monday and Tuesday.  This is an assessment of children/youth Religious Education.  We will then continue with chapter 4.

Math:  We will be taking out Unit 4 test on Tuesday.  We will then begin a fraction review.  For IXL.com this week students are to complete K.1 Prime and Composite numbers.

Social Studies:  We will have our Chapter 5 test next Monday, February 3rd.  This week we will be preparing for the test.

Science:  We will be discussing the unique properties of acids and bases.  On Thursday we will be continuing our lab on surface tension.

Grammar: Unit 3.  Lessons 22 and 23  Progressive Forms of Verbs and Perfect Tenses.  We will also be reviewing linking verbs and helping verbs.

Vocabulary: Unit 7

ELA:  We continue with unit 3, “Clues to a Culture”.
