Dear Families,

Thank you to everyone who was able to visit with us on Friday.  The students enjoyed our time together.  Everyone did a great job on the fire drill!  Also, it was so nice to see some of you at our Open House.  It was great to see all the students helping out and everyone looked wonderful in their uniforms.  This Wednesday is free dress and principal’s lunch.  Friday is a noon dismissal.

Below is an overview of our week.

Vocabulary:  Unit 9.  Our test will be this Friday.

Spelling:  We will take our unit 13 test on Monday and then we will begin unit 14.

Math:  Equivalent fractions and simplifying fractions will be our main focus in math this week.

Science:  This week our focus will how communities get fresh water.

Social Studies:  We will summarize the changed Spanish colonization brought to New Spain.    We also continue to work on our school fair reports.

Religion:  We will be discussing Jesus’ teaching and focusing on Mark 1:21-28.

Literature: This week we will begin our rough draft on the story Stone Soup.  We will also continue to read The Indian in the Cupboard.
