Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Our last ten days of school! It is close-but not over yet, we still have work to do to finish this year. Amazing! How quickly this year went by… your children will be going to first grade in August.
This Friday is move-up day. Which means part of the day we will go into first grade to see and hear what they will be doing in a couple of months. It is very exciting!
Homework for the week is to practice sight words and read nightly. Please return all sight words and envelopes by Thursday.
It’s time to round up all library books – please look around and return this week…..
Our academics:
Joy in Families and Life is Good -our scripture lesson focus- Jesus said, “I came so that they might have life.” -based on John 10:10 Great learning has gone on this year through our faith focus. You will see this in their religion textbook, which is coming home this week.
Reviewing our letter/sounds, printing, sentence structure, grammar and reading will comprise our language arts lessons for the reminder of the year. A keyboarding lesson has been introduced and will continue this week.
Math continues with subtraction and review of all shapes. Don’t forget to count change at home – value of coins continues to be a difficult concept for many children.
On Wednesday we have another free dress no $$ !
This Friday is a noon dismissal.
Next week is a full week of school!
We will be finishing academics and adding lots of fun and games! Next week is the week your child won’t want to miss.
*On Monday, June 17 your child needs to wear P.E. clothes and a color T-shirt that is designated by their school family. This is for field day after lunch. Information for shirt colors can be found in last weeks school newsletter. Your children will know what color they need to wear this week.
Please click on school website and/or check Mrs. Benner’s weekly newsletter to keep apprised of all information as we finish this year.
Next Thursday is a 12:00 dismissal and Friday is a 10:00 dismissal.
Any questions?? Please send me an email !!
Have a great week 🙂
Mrs. Brown
