Dear Kindergarten Families,

Your children sure did a great job on Friday’s Saints Parade! I’m sure all families are very proud. This week we will attend Mass on Thursday, as Veterans Day is on Friday.

This week our religion focus is on prayer. We will learn that prayer includes both listening and responding to God. With this in mind, we will remember the many men and women who have served in the military by crafting a card.  Their efforts will be delivered to service people for the Veterans Day holiday.

A chapter test on patterns completes chapter 2 and leads  to recognizing numbers in form and relationships.  We will compare quantities in terms of equal, more and less. Chapter 3 booklet coming home on Tuesday.  Our language arts centers continue to work on initial sounds /r/ and /t/,  letter formation, and reading groups. New sight words: like, to, and is.  Comprehension skills include predicting outcome, breaking the story into parts and noting details.
