Dear Kindergarten Parents,

Did you know…..Five to six year old children have a vocabulary of 2,500-5,000 words? Reading is key to successful students.
I want your child to keep turning the pages all year long. To help achieve this goal, I have enrolled our class in the BOOK IT program to do just that!
My goal is for your child to read and/or be read to for 20 minutes most every night. In doing that your child will be able to list 10 or 12 children books each month.
BOOK IT is sponsored by Pizza Hut and they been motivating children to read for over 25 years. Your child will receive a certificate for a personal pizza by returning the monthly list of books you read together. You will have 30 days from the date of the award to redeem it and no purchase is necessary.
