This is the week for our Tie Dye Run!! It is going to be a fun day. I hope many families can come share the day with us. Reminder: we can wear our tie dye shirts on Wednesday-it’s not a free dress, it’s a preview of our shirts.
We continue on with our Lenten Journey. Each Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 we attend the Stations of the Cross. Your children are learning quite a bit about each station. We use our class numbers and reflect on each station. The Living Stations will be next Wednesday, April 16 at 1:45 if you schedule permits please join us.
April is the month for poetry. Poetry promotes attention to words with familiar rhythms and rhymes your children are enjoying reading and finding sight words. Keep practicing those sight word books at home. We will begin a unit on nouns and verbs as we return from Easter Break.
Measurement with non-standard units is our focus this week. We are using cubes, craft sticks, hands and feet to get “an about” measurement. Counting by 2’s to 30 will be our next challenge!
Caring for our Earth everyday will be our focus in science and social studies over the next few weeks.
Homework comes home tomorrow to be returned by the following Tuesday, April 15.
Our class book is looking great and almost finished!!
Blessings,
Mrs. Brown
