A lot of fun and excitement this week!
Starts off with an Art lesson today.
Tuesday is the 100th day of school. We are almost 100 days wiser! To celebrate this … have your student dress in a way they feel a 100 year old wiser person looks.
On Tuesday the family envelopes come home -look for the Mid Trimester Progress Report. Please review, sign and return to school by February 16.
Friday is our Valentine’s day exchange and a free -free dress also an 11:45 dismissal. Our day will end with prayer service led by our 8th grade students.
We will be working hard on our academics along with some outside work in our garden. We need to begin preparing for spring planting.
Religion – Promise lesson from Sunday’s message. Life of Jesus and his miracles – reading from our Children’s Bible. We spend time and finish chapter “Hands are Good” in religion text. Also a look ahead at the beginning of Lent…Ash Wednesday is just week away.
Reading – phonics and writing workshops continue -we learn to use our super powers to sound out words as we read and write more words. Continue work with sight word books from class and as you read each night.
Math lessons finds us adding with the number line and counting pennies, nickels and dimes. A bit of graphing, too!
Science will continue the unit on Arctic Animals and Social studies focus will be on President’s Day.
