We are having an exciting Halloween week! Pumpkins, door decorating and a coloring contest. Winners will be announced on Halloween.
Halloween free free (no $$) dress is on Thursday, remember no costumes, hair dye or make-up. Wear Halloween colors or themed shirts, skirts, socks, etc. Send in 1 or 2 dollars for a tattoo(s). And they will be applied on Halloween. We will celebrate with candy, treats as long as they are store bought wrapped or treat bags. We have eleven students.
We measured and weighed pumpkins today. Then entered the findings in our journals. The pumpkins will come home tomorrow for your carving pleasures!
SAINTS
We are learning more about our Saints from your children’s homework. I am impressed with their nice pictures and sentences. 🙂
This will be displayed in class for all to enjoy during the Fall Showcase.
The Saint’s Parade and Fall Showcase is on November 15. Parents will come to class to help their saints dress in costumes after lunch. Please see the post for more details for this special day. https://sacredheartschoolventura.org/save-the-date-friday-november-15-for-fall-showcase-sweets/
HOMEWORK
Read nightly, do the Wonder, Draw and Tell paper. Please write a complete sentence telling what will the raccoon do after scooping the seeds. It can be funny! And do the math measurement paper. We will do ixl in class. Have your child work/read in:
Starfall.com https://www.starfall.com/h/geometry/measure-this/? fun measurement skill.
Toytheather.com https://toytheater.com/alphabetical-order/ has a good alphabet practice skill.
If you have any questions or Saint related costume ideas, please send me an email. Saint costumes should be simple and one prop is allowed.
Lastly, Friday Primary Centers was fun. Your children enjoyed working with friends in K-1-2 and doing a project. Thank you parents who were able to come and help in class. I appreciate your help!
Blessings,
Mr. Brown
