Dear Kindergarten Families,

The last week of April is upon us!

We have a noon dismissal on Friday with Primary Centers!

Family envelope has important information and forms for In-N-Out fundraiser and Spring Pictures – please return red envelope before May 8 to enjoy a lunch date with your student!

A look at our academics as we begin the home stretch:

Religion – reviewing Easter and forgiveness. Understanding new life and the gift of light.

Language arts – using games and reading skills to review consonant sounds, long and short vowels. Daily journal writing, reading passages, proper nouns, articles of speech and pronouns.

Math – we will be working on value of money- counting coins, pennies, nickels and dimes. Place value, number grid, number formation and solid shapes.

Science -learning about insects and their life cycles. Our garden sugar snap peas are showing steady growth and beginning to flower!

Social studies – reading and drawing about our American Symbols.

Homework

Read to and with your child. Find a fun favorite and do a book response. Two papers included with book response – Mystery Message and Count the nickels. All 3 papers due next Wednesday, May 3rd.
