Hello Kindergarten Families,
I hope all enjoyed their Thanksgiving time together. We have so much to be thankful for.
Your children are progressing well as we begin the second trimester of kindergarten. Progress reports are coming home next Tuesday. Please review, sign and return just the envelope.
Advent will be our focus these weeks of December. We continue work towards publishing our class book, The Fruits of the Spirit.
Practice with letter/sound association, this week /s/ and /z/ and correct letter formation. We are reading daily and writing simple sentences including punctuation and labeling pictures. Our daily math practice is place value, number grid, counting pennies, nickels and dimes and simple addition.
In our backyard garden – the snow peas are starting to grow!
Homework
Cozy up and read with your children each night. Find a favorite Christmas book and have your child do the response form. A math mystery picture is included in the homework folder. We are all enjoying each others book reports with nice coloring and detailed pictures! I am very proud of their work each week.
IXL and Starfall practice – remember this is practice, skills do not have to be mastered.

P.2 complete the word with short vowel sound
R.1 choose the two sight words that are the same
