Monday, June 6

Everyone is in free dress with this final time we ask for $1 to send to assist the victims of the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. Throughout the school year, Sacred Heart School families have sent funds raised with free dress days to help with the recovery efforts. The Class of 2023 created themes for each of these days and this last one is CRAZY SOCKS!

The Class of 2023 enjoys a brunch and spends the day in preparation for their Graduation Mass and Awards Presentation.

Kindergarten-7th grade classes spend the day with their classes for this last “real” school day. The day ends for them during the last period of the afternoon as they “Move Up” to the next grade to get a preview of what is to come.

Tuesday, June 7

Morning

School starts at the regular time and our morning will be filled with a Kickball Tournament featuring 8 teams made up of 5th-8th grade students picked at random.  The students in Kindergarten-4th grade will be in “the stands” watching the tournament.

Afternoon

Final Assembly for The Class of 2023

Our graduates will run their final assembly as they share information about themselves and their high school destinations.  The assembly ends with a longstanding tradition! And the use of the word, run, is a big hint about this part of the assembly.

We invite all family members to attend the Kickball Tournament and/or the assembly.  All are welcome to stay during the recess/lunch portions of the day as well.

Wednesday, June 7

The school day starts at the regular time but with no recess or lunch.  This is a Noon Dismissal Day for everyone. AND THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

The graduates tour the K-7 classrooms for a final visit before Mass.

The Graduation Mass & Awards Presentation begins at 9:30a.  The Graduates are seated in the first pews with their families & guests in the pews of either wing of the church or behind them.  K-7 students and their families sit in the rest of the church in their regular pews. This is the last school day for K-7 students, and we invite their family members to join us at church for this special Mass.

Following The Mass & Awards Presentation, the 8th grade gathers in the center aisle and each grade moves through them to give their final congratulations.  K-7 students return to class, receive their report cards, and say their final goodbyes.

Graduates and their families will be able to depart at the close of the events in church.

The car lines will form for K-4 and 5-7 & siblings for the Noon Dismissal on this last day of school!
