As we continue our Lenten journey, we will be attending Stations of the Cross on Thursday at 2 p.m. Please join us if you can! Friday is a half-day, with Intermediate Centers after morning recess.
I hope you are enjoying working on the mission projects, whether it be models or video tours or scrapbooks. School Fair is next Wednesday, March 4th, and all projects and reports are due on that day!
This week we will be completing Reading logs, due next Monday. You may click here to access the form. Weekly_Reading_Log We will NOT be doing ixL this week; instead, I will be sending home a math study link worksheet each night, to be completed by the following morning.
In Social Studies we are still focused upon our Mission Reports. Students will be writing rough and then final drafts in class, and will bring them home to be typed and placed into some sort of small binder in preparation for the School Fair on March 4th.
We are starting unit 19 in Spelling; there will be a test on Friday. In addition, we will be correcting the book pages for review unit 18 on Friday.
We continue our study of Unit 11 Vocabulary words; the test will be on Friday.
In Grammar we continue studying irregular verb forms; I anticipate a test on Unit 3 (verbs) next week.
In Math we begin Unit 5, which focuses upon multiplication.
In Religion class we are writing a small moment story, about a time when we reached out to a friend in need and showed them God’s love. From these, I will select five as finalists for the Palmisano Writing Contest. I will also be presenting the Virtus Teaching Touching Safety program this week.
In Science we are learning about human interactions with ecosystems, both positive and negative.
In Reading groups we continue reading our literature selections.
Thanking you for your continued support,
Mrs. Dwyer
