Dear Fifth Grade Families,

This Friday is a noon dismissal.  This Friday is also our school wide Collaborative Learning.  I am very excited to see everyone at our School Fair Wednesday at 6:30.  The students have worked very hard on their reports and I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s display boards.

Every night your child should be reviewing their Social Studies and Science notes.   By Friday every student needs to have completed three Acc math packets.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is fifthgrade@sacredheartschoolventura.org. Please make sure that all students have their needed supplies everyday (paper, pencils, binders and flash drives).

Below is an overview of our week.

Math:  We begin our chapter on dividing fractions.

Science: We begin Chapter 9 this week.

Social Studies:  We will be taking our Chapter 6 test on Monday.  We also are presenting our School Fair reports in class.

English: We will be identifying possessive  pronouns.

Religion: This month we will be also focusing on the parts of the Mass. On Tuesday the fifth grade class will be going to Church for Reconciliation. We will be having Stations of the Cross on Wednesday at 2pm.  Please join us if your schedule allows.

Spelling: Unit 22.  We will have our  pre test on Thursday and our test on Friday.

Vocabulary: Unit 10

Literature:  We will continue reading our novel, Indian in the Cupboard.
