Dear Fifth Grade Families,

Monday is our 3rd Jogathon Free Dress Day.  Wednesday is  a Sports Theme Free Dress for a $1.00 donation.  There is no school on Friday.  We will have an early start to our Memorial Day weekend.  We will all return to school on Tuesday, May 27th. Below is an overview of our week:

Math: For IXL the following sections are this week’s homework: K.6 Greatest Common Factors, K.7 Least Common Multiples, and P.5 Add, Subtract, Multiply and Divide fractions.  We will continue to focus on fractions this week.

Science:  The Solar System

Social Studies:  We will discuss how the Framers separated the powers of the national government into three branches.

Vocabulary: Unit 12

Grammar: We will focus on homophones and words that are often confused.

Religion: Proverbs in Religion.

ELA:  We will continue with our book, The Secret Garden.
