Dear Fifth Grade Families,
I hope everyone had a restful long weekend. This Friday is a noon dismissal. This Thursday we will be having our Harvest of the Month with Mrs. Hoffman.
On June 3rd the fifth grade class will be going to Food Share for a fieldtrip. We are collecting cans of food to donate on our fieldtrip. Please make sure that permission and monies are returned by Friday.
Every night your child should be reviewing their Social Studies and Science notes. By Friday every student needs to have completed three Acc math packets. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is fifthgrade@sacredheartschoolventura.org. Please make sure that all students have their needed supplies everyday (paper, pencils, binders and flash drives).
Below is an overview of our week.
Math: We will be finding the perimeter and area of rectangles and squares this week. Please make sure your child is turning in 3 Acc math assignments this week.
Science: We will be analyzing the Planets, Moons and other Bodies of the Solar System.
Social Studies: We will be leaning about the three different branches of government.
English: We will be analyzing when to use teach, learn, let, leave, sit and sat. We will continue to work on our Important Person project, which is due June 3rd.
Religion: We will be focusing on Mary this month.
Vocabulary Unit 14.
Literature: House of Dies Drear.
