Dear Kindergarten Parents,

May is the month to honor Mary. We will pray with our class rosaries this week and discuss some apparitions of Mary. Continued review of chapter 21, Jesus’ love shines through us.

Academics continued:

ELA – short vowels -especially /e/ and a look at long vowels. Sentence structure, punctuation, letter formation especially lower case f, h, n, r. Quotation marks and sight word ‘said’. Naming words, comparing words, and independent writing.

EM-number stories with addition and subtraction; counting money with adding quarters. Review of counting from any number, counting back and forward.

Science – life science revisited– Tuesday’ lab – butterfly’s perfect parts.

Progress Reports come home today- please sign and return by Monday, May 12.

Busy week – poems! practice at home and in class.

Jog-A-Thon this Friday- signed permission envelopes for your child to participate.

If your child likes Sunny Delight and you recycle the small bottles (single serving) please recycle with us. We want to make small piggy banks!
