The 8th grade experienced a wonderful retreat today with Justin and Mrs. Clemmensen in the hall. The topic focused on the importance of being nice to everyone and eliminating the quest for popularity, especially at the expense of other classmates. The students reflected on the reasons teenagers want to be popular. They then discussed the benefits and perils of popularity. The retreat ended with the class agreeing  to treat each other with kindness and respect. The students also promised  to stay true to who they are now and in high school. The closing prayer encouraged students to love and care for each other.
