Dear Kindergarten Families,

We have a shortened week as we observe Veterans Day on Friday. With no school on Friday, Mass is scheduled on Thursday morning.

Thursday free dress – wear colors of our flag – red, white or blue donation is $1.00 or more if possible. All proceeds go to Adopt-A-Family.

Thursday, Flag retirement ceremony is scheduled at 11:00. Parents are welcome to join us.

Cookie sales will be another way to help support our mission efforts.  Thanksgiving Cookies pre-sales begin on Monday. Cookies cost $1.00. Wednesday, November 15 is the last day to order.

Religion will focus thanking God for all we have and how we can help others.

ELA – Words Their Way continues with finding items that rhyme with body parts (knee – tree); practice with letters/sounds, and neatly printing letters and words. Correct sentence structure writing with sight words.  Partner reading – skill: looking for clues from pictures for more detailed understanding of the books we read.

Math- working with place value and teen numbers, learning about symmetry will be covered in a fun way; with drops of paint and folding paper.

Social Studies- our National symbol, the American Flag and Veterans Day.

Science of mixing colors will be explored with symmetry.
