Dear Families,

We have a busy week ahead of us.  This Wednesday is Free Dress Day for a $1.00 donation.  Students are to wear pink or blue for cancer awareness.  Friday is a noon dismissal.  Our Friday mass will be honoring Mrs. Dwyer on her last day at S.H.S.

Below is an overview of our week.

Voc.:   We will continue working on Unit 4

Spelling: Unit 35 is our focus this week.  We will be having our weekly spelling test next Monday instead of this Friday.

Math: We begin our week with our Chapter 2 test on Monday.  We will move onto Chapter 3, which is all about multiplication.  We will model the Distributive Property and partial products.  We will also work on Mental Math.

Social Studies:  We will be preparing for our Chapter 1 test this Thursday.  We will be comparing and contrasting the three early civilizations we have been studying.

Science:  Tuesday is our first Chapter 1 test. We will begin our study of Plant Systems.

English:  The class is learning about figurative language, literal language, plots and settings

Religion:  We will  discuss how Jesus acts in the Sacraments

Literature:  We will be continuing with our Indian in the Cupboard books.
