Dear Families,

We will have a busy week in fifth  grade.  Wednesday is free dress for a $1 for Adopt a Family.  Thursday is picture retake day.  Please wear a regular uniform shirt and P.E. shorts. This Friday is a full day of school with a 2:45 dismissal.  Starting next Monday we will begin selling Halloween tattoos for $1 each.  Students may buy as many as they wish.  Below is an overview of our week.

Math:  We will have our unit 2 test on Wednesday.  Our IXL section this week is C.11, the lattice method.

Vocabulary:  We will have unit 3 test on Tuesday. We will then begin unit 4.

Religion:  We will have our units 1-5 test on Thursday.

Grammar:  Our focus this week is on simple and compound sentences.

Social Studies: We will summarize the changes Spanish colonization brought to New Spain.

Science:  We begin chapter 3.  Our focus will be on the respiratory system.
