Dear Families,
We have complete all of our ITBS testing. The students did an excellent job. We will resume our regular schedule this week. Progress Reports will be sent home this Tuesday, October 4th. Please sign and return the forms by Friday October 7th. This Friday is also our pumpkin sale. Students who have prepaid for pumpkins will be picking them out at the end of the day.
Every night your child should be reviewing their notes for Science and Social Studies, vocabulary for Math, and practicing their Spelling words. Please remember to look over your child’s planner every night as well. Starting this week any deficiency notices will be send home via email.
Below is an overview of our week:
Voc: We will take our Unit 3 test on Tuesday and then we will move onto Unit 4.
Spelling: Unit 34
Social Studies: We will continue our study of the Mount Builders and the Anasazi civilizations.
Science: We will begin to study Chapter 1 lesson 3, which is about Cell Organization. We will have our Chapter 1 test next Tuesday, October 11th.
Math: We are finishing Chapter 2 this week and we will have our chapter test next Monday.
Religion: We are continuing to work on Chapter 2. We have also been discussing and practicing how to find scriptures in the bible. We also will be learning about St. Alanus de Rupe.
Lit: We resume our reading of Ancient Egypt.
English: We will be learning about simple subjects and predicates.
