Dear Kindergarten Parents,
I am sure everyone enjoyed having an extra day off. Here we go with a shorten week and a full day of school on Friday. I am happy to see your kinders working on the ixl math website.
Already a few Saint’s names are in for the annual Saint’s Parade…please send in the name of your child’s saint by next Monday. In our religion book, we will learn about several saints. Old Testament stories about Abraham’s sons and their lives continue through the week.
ELA -writing sentences with sight words, print practice, syllables, capitalization and punctuation. As we listen to stories; we look for details, order of events, characters, and setting to help us with comprehension.
Math- counting by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s, number words and formation, number stories, and patterning with objects/shapes and colors. Everyday math online games will be introduced in the computer lab this week.
Social studies – learning to be responsible. Science continues with basic animal needs – sorting by land and water and their movement.
Thursday we will check out a book when at the library. Books need to be returned the following Wednesday in order to check out another on our library day.
We have a fundraiser coming soon! Donut sales to raise monies for cancer research. Pre-order starting this Wednesday through Friday the 18th. All orders must be in advance, no sales on Donut Day October 23rd. Cost $1.00 each
