Dear Families,

On Tuesday Progress Reports will be going home. Please sigh and return to school by Friday. Picture retake day is on Wednesday. This Friday is a 2:45 dismissal. Looking ahead Monday the 14th is a Free Dress day for $1. There is no school lunches for the week of October 14-18th. Below is an overview of our week.

Math: We will be making and using magnitude estimations for products of multidigit numbers, including decimals. The math IXL this week is E.3.

Social Studies: We will analyze the causes of conflict among the Iroquois and the role of the Great Council in achieving and maintaining peace.

Science: Vascular plants have specialized structures for transporting materials.

Vocabulary: Unit 3

Grammar: Use subordinating conjunctions to form complex sentences.

Religion: The Holy Spirit comes to Us in Confirmation.

ELA: This week we start our new book Out of My Mind. The ELA IXL this week is Y.1 This week we are focusing on adding scenes from the past and the future in our narrative writing.
