Our annual writing competition in each class is coming to a close! This year each student writes in response to the prompt that comes from this year’s Catholic Schools Week theme: Catholic Schools Raise the Standards. We often reflect on how we can raise the standard of our academic performance. Equally important is the raising of our standard in regard to Catholic identity.
Reflect on our SLE’s and discuss how a person your age can raise his/her standards as a maturing Catholic, a lifelong learner, and a socially maturing individual. How do you think you measure up to these raised standards?
Next week the names of the class finalists will be announced and The Palmisano Family begins the challenging process of selecting a single winner from the primary, intermediate, and middle school levels as each receives a month’s tuition to be used by their families in this or the coming school year. The three winners are announced annually at a special assembly held on March 19, the feast day of Saint Joseph, in honor of Joseph Palmisano, the late husband of Mary Palmisano who administers The Joseph Palmisano Scholarship Fund for Sacred Heart School.
